About the job

The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meet all necessary design responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Draw, update, and maintain designs
  • Manage multiple complex projects at the same time
  • Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and time
  • 5 years of experience in the design engineering department
  • Checking the subcontractor engineers' work and implementing it through project management and then to the construction field
  • Dealing with classification society checks and rule implementation
  • In-house drawings, constructional designs, and schematic drawings for piping and mechanical systems
  • 3D constructional model creation: Nesting, WS
  • Piping, mechanical designs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering or relevant technical degree
  • CAD experience
  • Proficient in Rhinoceros, Autocad, Siemens NX, Aveva Tribon
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

The ideal candidate is a hard-working team player who will play a critical role in directing and managing project interior across various ongoing projects in the shipyard.

Responsibilities

  • You'll be in charge of 5 interior and yacht designer along with multiple furniture manufacturer and all the subcontractors related to interior and design.
  • Contribute to the technical architecture of vessels. You will be managing the draft of 3D models of vessels and produce 2D drafts of production deliverables for manufacturing and assist the project managers with the timekeeping of design loops and production drawings such as sole plan, general arrangement, net spaces of the projects.
  • Assist supporting the technical partners to deliver vessels and subsystems.
  • Assist the collaboration closely with the project managers to deliver manufacturing information and work closely with the rest of the systems team to ensure the product is of the highest standard.
  • Assist with fault finding and Implementing solutions across the prototype delivery stage of the project including preventative strategies and support boat development programs.
  • Ensure all vessels meet all appropriate compliance and classification regulations.
